About the Attorney

As a young child, I moved with my family to Oklahoma when my father was transferred by the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI). As a child and young adult, I saw my father work as an FBI Agent to protect the rights and freedoms of all people, regardless of race or religion. I developed a strong sense of what is right and wrong. This passion serves as the motivation for me to help others—regardless of their situation.

In 1984, I proudly graduated from Northeast High School in Oklahoma City. In 1988, I received a Bachelor of Science degree in political science from Oklahoma State University and in 1992, a Juris Doctorate Degree from the University of Oklahoma. While at the University of Oklahoma College of Law, I served as research editor of the Oklahoma Law Review.

I am a member of the Oklahoma Bar Association, Oklahoma County Bar Association, Oklahoma Association for Justice, and American Bar Association. I am a former barrister of the Lutheran Bohannon American Inn of Court. I am also admitted to practice before the United States Supreme Court, United States Court of Appeals Tenth Circuit, and United States District Court of the Western, Northern, and Eastern Districts of Oklahoma. I also handle cases throughout the state of Oklahoma.

I have received the Martindale-Hubbell’s prestigious “AV” rating, which indicates that my peers rank me at the highest level of professional excellence. In 2008, the Oklahoma County Bar Association awarded me the Leadership in Law Award. I served with distinction for over 10 years in the Oklahoma/Arkansas Chapter of the Alzheimer’s Association, served a 4-year term on its Board of Directors, and was awarded the McDaniel Man of the Year award by the Alzheimer’s Association.

I have over 30 years of legal experience representing injured plaintiffs in the areas of catastrophic personal injury, wrongful death, sexual abuse, and misconduct lawsuits, Alzheimer’s/Nursing Home abuse, semi-tractor trailer collisions, and insurance dispute cases.

I have three children; Sam, Emily, and Luke. With my children, I enjoy attending various Oklahoma sporting events, and watching my children compete in athletic, dance, and debate competitions.
